Accreditation

Every three years Port Pirie Medical Centre undergoes an accreditation process to ensure our practice is committed to delivering the highest possible level of patient care.

Its integral the compliance is met with strict set of RACGP Standards for general practices (which are reviewed and updated constantly). Port Pirie Medical Centre are independently audited to ensure these standards are met.

As part of the on-going accreditation process, our staff may ask you to participate in a confidential patient survey. These surveys are aimed at collecting your valuable feedback on our practice to ensure we are to constantly improve our services.

There are many criteria topics we have to meet and maintain to a continuous high standard. Some of these topics include clinical services, internal administration, sterilisation, infection control and safety, risk assessment, patient rights and continual quality improvement
