Dr Chandan Kumar

Principal General Practitioner

Dr Kumar is a General Practitioner and Owner of Port Pirie Medical Centre. Dr Kumar completed his medical degree in 2000 and has since worked in India and Russia, both in emergency Departments and General Practice. After settling here in Port Pirie early 2022 and commencing work at the clinic as a General Practitioner, Dr Kumar purchased the practice in 2024.

Dr Kumar believes it is important to remain general in his clinical interests in order to manage the wide range of clinical presentations in general practice. He regularly attends educational sessions to maintain his skills and knowledge and is a member of the RACGP.

In addition to his professional life, Dr Kumar also enjoys nature and exploring the outdoors with his family.
