At Port Pirie Medical Centre, our doctors are committed to all individuals and families in this community by providing good general practice care. Our aim is to provide preventative care and health education. As an accredited practice with AGPAL, you can trust us to provide quality services.
We work closely with the Port Pirie Regional Health Service, Community Health and Mental Health Services, physiotherapists, visiting specialists, dentists and many other health service providers. With a strong interest in the health of indigenous and ethnic people, we offer support through a wide range of services as outlined below.

Interpretation Services
Should you require the services of an interpreter to be present during your consultation with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when making your appointment and we will arrange one for you.

Our GP’s focus on health promotion and disease prevention. We have recall systems to remind you when your review’s, immunisations and check-ups are due.
Disability Services
Port Pirie Medical Centre has wheelchair access at the main entrance and disabled toilet facilities. Should you require any special arrangements, please discuss your needs with the receptionist or your doctor. A wheelchair is also available on request.

Home Visits
Port Pirie Medical Centre can offer home visits where it is deemed to be safe and reasonable – for both the patient and doctor.
Home visits can, at the doctor’s discretion, be arranged for regular long-term patients who are acutely ill, palliative or immobile.
A request for a home visit are encouraged to give ample notice to allow the doctor to schedule the visit.

After-Hours and Emergency Services
If a patient requires urgent medical attention after hours, you can attend the Port Pirie Regional Health Services, Accident and Emergency department or call 000.
